For the censuses of 1901 [http://www.census.nationalarchives.ie/reels/nai000856811/] and 1911 [http://www.census.nationalarchives.ie/reels/nai002472047/], Seán was living in Kildreelig with his family. He was a farmer. He never travelled further than Killorglin. He married Cáit Ní Chorráin of Dromod parish, county Kerry, in 1882. They had six sons and four daughters. According to the 1911 census, only six of their children survived. Seán died 21 May 1931, and was buried in Ballinskelligs Abbey. For the folkloric material collected from him see Risteárd de hAe, Clár Litridheacht na Nua-Ghaedhilge (Dublin, 1938-40), index. Material collected from him is housed in the National Folklore Collection, UCD.
