Biographical Note
Ruddy (Ní Rodaigh), Sally (Saile, Sarah) (Mrs. Pat Coyne, Bean Phádraic Uí Chadhain) (1867-?): Sally Ruddy was born in Baile an Ghleanna, Leenaune, county Galway, on March 29, 1867, to Pat Ruddy, farmer, and Bridget Baines (Bearns, Baynes). Sally received no formal education. She was living in Glennagevlagh, Leenaune, with her family during the censuses of 1901 [http://www.census.nationalarchives.ie/reels/nai000837911/] and 1911 [http://www.census.nationalarchives.ie/reels/nai002430157/]. She married Pádraic Ó Cadhain (Pat Coyne) around 1888. By 1911, they had had nine children, six of whom survived (one daughter and five sons).
