Biographical Note
Mullrooney (Ní Mhaolrúnaigh, Mulrooney), Eileen (Eibhlín, Ellen) (c.1856-?): Eileen Mullrooney was born in Lissavruggy, Ballygar, county Galway, around 1856. She received no formal education. Her father was a weaver. As an adult, she lived in Cloonlyon, Ballygar, and then in Tully, Ballygar. She was living there during the censuses of 1901 [http://www.census.nationalarchives.ie/reels/nai000834212/] and 1911 [http://www.census.nationalarchives.ie/reels/nai000834212/]. She married James Mulrooney around 1882. They had nine children but only five survived.
